West Virginia Car (Lemon) Dealer Rejects Ethics: “Not My Problem”

A West Virginia car dealership has boldly declared that ethics are, quite frankly, overrated. The dealership, known for its impressively large collection of lemons, has taken a firm stance: it’s the customer’s fault, not theirs.

In a world where businesses are increasingly pressured to uphold ethical standards, this dealership has decided to swim against the tide. “Why bother with ethics when you can make a quick buck?” seems to be their motto. After all, who needs repeat customers when you can just keep finding new ones to dupe?

The dealership’s management has made it clear that they bear no responsibility for the subpar vehicles they sell. “If customers are foolish enough to buy from us, that’s their problem,” said the dealership’s spokesperson with a shrug. “We never promised them a smooth ride.”

Despite a growing mountain of complaints from disgruntled customers, the dealership remains unfazed. “Complaints? What complaints?” they ask, conveniently ignoring the stack of letters and emails piling up in the corner. “We make money, and that’s all that matters. We’re a blessing to society.”

In a twist of logic that would make even the most seasoned philosopher’s head spin, the dealership insists that the blame lies squarely with the customers. “They should have done their research,” the spokesperson said. “It’s not our job to hold their hand through the car-buying process.”

Favoring the dealership, a local judge has sided with the business, stating that customers need to be more discerning. “Buyer beware,” the judge declared. “If you can’t tell a lemon from a luxury car, maybe you shouldn’t be buying cars at all.”

Not everyone is unhappy with the dealership’s practices. Local mechanics are reportedly thrilled with the steady stream of business. “I’ve never been busier,” said one mechanic. “Thanks to that dealership, I’ve got more work than I can handle. It’s one business relationship I plan to maintain long-term.”
